Coverage options for your move
Basic coverage (included)
Included in every move at no extra cost. Like most Canadian movers, basic coverage is based on weight: up to $0.60 per pound, per item. For example, a 50 lb table would be covered up to $30. It’s simple, but it won’t cover the full value of expensive items.
Enhanced coverage (optional)
[IF YOU OFFER IT: describe your full-value or declared-value option, what it costs and any deductible.] If you have high-value items, tell us before moving day, and check whether your home or tenant insurance covers belongings during a move.
Your coverage choice is written on your work order before the move.
What isn’t covered
- Items packed by you, unless the box itself shows outside damage
- Cash, jewellery, documents and other valuables (please keep these with you)
- Normal wear, pre-existing damage and particleboard furniture that comes apart in normal handling
- Items we can’t move, like propane, fuel and chemicals
How to make a claim
- Tell the crew right away if you notice damage on moving day, or contact us within [CLAIM WINDOW, e.g. 48 hours].
- Send photos of the damage and your work order number to [YOUR EMAIL].
- We review the claim and reply within [RESPONSE TIME, e.g. 5 business days], then repair, replace or pay out under your coverage.
Small problems, like a loose table leg, we can often fix on the spot. Just ask.
